Epson CX 5400 All-in-One

I am trying to install the above printer, it seems as thought the scanner drivers install but when the twain drivers begin to install it brings up a 16-bit subsystem error saying that this is not a sutable program to run in ms-dos and or windows based o/s. Can anyone help?
