I am assuming you are receiving an "Incompatible ink cartridge" error.

This YouTube video outlines downgrading the firmware.

I have those instructions and will try it soon.

Had to research downgrade firmware steps for my model.

1. Press and hold down arrow + on buttons at the same time within one minute after printer is turned off

2. Update devices list and select firmware, then click update (make sure not to update firmware that disabled 3rd party cartridges. You can perform a print screen on printer to get current firmware number)

3. When update is completed (approx 5-10 minutes) confirm the firmware information is displayed on the screen.
