I have a slight issue, we have a backup set of VS1 DLT tapes, which have been used in a Quantum V4 drive, using Backup Eec 12.5. We now need to use the backup set of tapes, to write to, in a VS160 Quantum drive using Backup Exec 12.5.
I know I can read/write from VS160 into V4, not not viceversa.
Can I Format/Erase/Degauss/Microwave the DLT VS1’s so that I can start using them in the VS160 drive??
When these tapes are new they can be used in either drive..
