I’m using a HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook (tx 1000). It is running in Vista. Recently, I have difficulty starting it. When power up, the light that shows HDD activity just blink once or twice and it goes off and the screen remains blank. After several tries, it starts up. Sometimes, it start up, with the HDD light on but Windows Logo did not appear. I have to turn it off and restart again before it can work (sometimes after another few more tries). I was told to do a recovery with the recovery discs. But I was a little reluctant because then I have to reinstall many programmes again. Is there any other better solutions? Thanks.
