Eratic Mouse

Recently purchased a laser mouse and what hapeens is when using the mouse and directing the pointer it will dart to left or top of open window.

Has anyone expierenced this problem?

Usually, I've encountered this problem for these reasons:
1. Mouse Pad is fabric-type and fibers are interfering with light reflection.
2. Hair or fiber in path of light.
3. Surface that mouse glides on is too light or clear or not suitable for type of mouse used.

You might want to make sure you're not using a fabric-covered mouse pad. Get a mousing surface pad that is a finely textured surface designed for optical-type devices. Also, use a magnifying glass to check the LED/Laser part of the mouse for stray fibers or hairs (esecially with cats in the area.) Some of them a quite fine, hence the need for a magnification tool.

Don't look directly into the light.

The pad does make it seem like ti drags and when I push pass is when the pointer will act eractic
