Error 0xC0000005

By anthonypdavis61 ·
I have a user at the company that I work for that is getting an error message that refers to 0xC0000005 when she either opens or closes Outlook 2003 or Word 2003.

I tried rolling the system back to earlier points in time but this didn't help at all. I also ran virus scans and malware scans but nothing shows up for malware of viruses at all. I reinstalled MS Office 2003 as well after I uninstalled it and that didn't help at all.

Does anyone know of any solution to this problem ?

Thanks

APD

Hi
I found this article on that error (states video driver and or bios setting)
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-system/blue-screen-and-error-code-0x0000008e-0xc0000005/16388688-e5f3-40b0-91d9-c2884e8a332e

You may want to check the disk for bad sectors and do a RAM test

also check this link to get more information from the cause of the bSOD
