I’m running into an issue with the Zoom Phone system and could use some help. My Zoom Phone license is active, but when I try to use calling or SMS features, I keep getting the error: “You do not have a direct number, setup direct number.”
The challenge is that I’m not sure where exactly in the admin settings to configure or assign this. I’ve checked my profile, but I don’t see any number linked. From my understanding, I may need to either assign a purchased number to my account or have the account admin provision one.
Has anyone else faced this issue? If so, what was the exact fix? Is there a way for individual users to request or assign a number themselves, or does this always require admin access?

OS: Windows 11 Pro (64-bit)
Zoom Client: Version 6.x (latest as of Sept 2025)
Device: Dell Latitude 5520
