WONDER IF ANYBODY CAN HELP,JUST AQUIRED A LAPTOP RUNNING WINDOWS 98SE,ON STARTUP I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE STATING "SAVE TO DISC PARTITION NOT FOUND " AND "SAVE TO DISC FEATURE DISABLED" IT ALSO TELLS ME TO RUN THE PH DISC FOR INFO THEN WINDOWS LOADS AS NORMAL,AND ALL IS OK EXCEPT I CANT SAVE MY WORK. ALSO IT CAME WITH NO DISCS.

Most manufacturers of laptop use various dos and non-dos partitions on the hard drive. Sometimes those partitions are for OS re-installations and sometimes they are for bios editors. When you say you can't save your work do you mean that when you are in notepad.exe and hit save, and browse to the folder you want it will not save? I would recommend entering the bios (usually the delete key, F2, or F10) and finding the power management section, and disable disk suspending. Sometimes this is called "hibernating"
