I receive the following error message when running Office 2003 from a Windows XP Home workstation connected to a Windows 2003 Server: "The operating system is not presently configured to un this application".

What is the problem? Office 2003 runs well on a standalone Windows XP Home system as well as on the Windows 2003 Server. I am not planning to upgrade to Windows Xp Professional. Is there a solution to this problem?

Are you attempting to run office on the xp box, from the 2003 box?

When exactly are you getting the error if not? What are the are your keystrokes, clicks?

This is one reason that Microsoft created the Windows XP Home Edition,it is scaled down and donot have the suport Network capabilities, you cannot run it over the network, but as you discovered it will perform as a standalone
