I got this error message when I try to install Office2K, I saw on MS web page that there are some Winfiles missing.After that message I can’t even restart the computer because of some missing files from Windows ( it looks to me that the installationis deleting those?). I reinstalled Windows95, I got the same message, after hitting OK like 10 times it passed that point and after ignoring 3-4 other messages I was finally able to work with Office (after I reinstalled Windows again because the same deleting happened). 99% is working fine but right now I have to open some Lotus files in Excel and I got the Illegal operation message and there other things in Word wich are not working properly. I formatted the harddrive finally and I reinstalledeverything but guess what.. the same error when trying to install Office and again Windows was not starting…
And one more thing :I installed Office from the same CD one at least 3 other computers and it worked fine.
Any ideeas ?
