Error651 comes up in Windows 7 (The modem or other connection device)has reported an error. Hi all, I am tearing my hair out with this problem when trying to connect to the internet and if one googles this error 651 so are many others. Microsoft have to say about it. According to some the problems seems to realate to the Raspppoe.sys file in c:\windows\system32\drivers where one suggestion is to rename this and substitute with the same name file from Vista but being a
system file win 7 will not allow you to do this indicating that this needs to be done by a trusted installer.
Again my question is what does Microsoft have to say about this? – cannot seem to finds any comment from them anywhere – can anyone help?
