I submitted this question before… looking for a real solution… ASUS is NO Help… I changed my Motherboard battery – No Help…

I have an ASUS P2B-F Motherboard P2-400, Award BIOS 5/10/99, 64Mb memory, Plenty of cooling, Two HD 13Gb & 4Gb, ATI Rage II+.
I have recently (past four weeks) been getting the message “Error: Can’t Write ESCD” on boot-up.
I basically know that ESCD is “Extended System Configuration Data”. I am very computer literate, but not with this issue.
I have read some MS Documentation on what this is, but I do not know what is causing this error message to appear. The system seems to function well otherwise.
Can anyone shed some light on my problems… please !!!!!!!!
