Error Code 553

I seem to be receiving/sending e-mail just fine. But somehow this pestky syntax error
code has attached its self and I can't get rid of it,

That error message usually means the smtp server thinks you are a spammer, not within its allowed domains. In your email program check to see that your email address in the "from" section is correct.

This is caused by the IMS being configured for anti-spoofing with the following properties:
"Only from hosts using authentication" for "Accept connection" and
"Clients can only submit if Authentication account matches submission address" on the Connections tab

and then the sender attempts to send login credentials that don't match their mailboxes NT account indicated in Exchange.
