Error Codes

By hydveda ·
Hi, I am running Windows XP Pro in a computer, I get the bluescreen error with error codes 0x0000008E (0xc000001D, 0x806B1364, 0xf617EAE4, 0x00000000). Thats how exactly it shows me on the blue screen. When i went to microsoft support website it says it has got the resolution for the problem but i couldnt find the download patch on the website. Can anyone please let me know from where i could download the patches?? I would be greatly indebted to you if you could provide me the link to the download or resolution of this problem.

Secondly my system restarts by itself several times, I thought it could be due to over heating and since then i normally keep the computer off for atleast 10 hours in a day. But still the system restarts by itself. Is there any problem with the PSU or is it due to the WinXP error's which i am getting?

Please let me know how could these 2 problems be solved.

Kind Regards.

Windows updates can be found at the following website: <windowsupdate.microsoft.com> It is self configuring. Once on the site it will bring up all updates your computer does not have, allow you to review and then install the updates.

For the auto reboots, goto
Right Click on My Computer-->Properties-->Advanced-->Startup and Recovery Settings.

Uncheck Automatic Restart.

Good Luck.

For the sakes of it all, have you tried System File Checker? sfc /scannow
You could always try this in Safemode. I'm not sure if it would resolve your issue but try it if you can. Or even System Restore.
Let me know how things turned out.

Hi, The problem was with the OS actually, Had to FORMAT my harddrive before reinstalling. I just tried to install over and over without formatting and used to get problems. But since i had formatted all the drives it seems to work fine now. May be that was due to some virus?? No idea.
Thanks all of you for your help.
Kind Regards.
