I have a user that is getting the following sync error multiple times throughout the day and anytime a manual send/receive is performed in Outlook.
10:58:19 Microsoft Exchange offline address book
10:58:19 0X80070002
I have determined that this is preventing the particular user from having her global address book updated. We are using Outlook 2003 and Exchange Server 2003.
I found one post that pointed out that this error is caused when the file “pdndex.oab” is missing from the path “C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook”. I confirmed that the file was missing from the user’s computer. The proposed solution was to copy the file from another computer that was working normally. I did this, but the file is removed when a send/receieve is performed. I can’t find anything else and was hoping someone could shed some light on the subject.
