I?m having trouble configuring Outlook 2003 for a new account on Exchange Server 2003. I get an error that says “the name can?t be resolved because the name cannot be matched to a name in the address list.” The name doesn?t show up in the GAL but I can access the mailbox through OWA.
I’ve done searches on the error code in Microsoft’s Knowledge Base, on search engines and here. I’ve tried everything I found with no success.
I just finished running the Best Practices Analyzer Tool. It?s telling me that Recipient Update Service has not run for 502 hours. I followed the instructions to fix it http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998520.aspx and I get the same error.
One other thing I noticed is that the default Global Address List container has no value in Exchange System Manager. Should something be there?
Can someone please point me in the direction of a solution?
