Error in displaying links

I am on MSN Microsoft Explorer with Windows 98 and I keep getting a message that “THERE WAS AN ERROR DISPLAYING THIS LINK”, each time I try to click on more that one site on an e-mail. Can anyone please help as this is very annoying?
