I had windows98 and windows xp pro on different partitions. The xp got corrupt for some reasons and while i was reinstalling it the power went out (the setup was still copying files). I then removed all the temporary files the setup had copied into the c: drive.
Now when i try to boot up the system it says ntldr missing. I even copied the old boot.ini file into the c: but still it gave the same error. When i copied ntldr into c: the system booted up but the boot menu was the modified one.
I would like to know how to rectify this error without installing xp. I also want to remove all the boot menu options except windows98
Thank You.
