Error on Installing Works 2000

Gateway Celeron PC with 64 MB, and 10GB, Win98.
I installed Works 2000 3 times with 2 CDs, uninstalling each time, but each time when accessing spreadsheet templates I got error messages including the blue screen which was not recoverable.
WKSSS caused a general protection fault in module user.exe at 0006:000575f
MSworks caused a general protection fault in user.exe at 0006:000575f
Explorer caused a general protection fault in user.exe at 0006:000575f
kernel32 caused a general protection fault in krnl386.exe at 0006:000575f
