The system was running slowly, so the paid support had my co-worker open the database in MS Access and compress the database. It has not opened since.
No, the database was NOT backed up before the compression.
I have done a search for “staf” but there is neither a file nor a directory by that name. Could this be inside the database?
No, we have not heard back from support yet.
I got called in on this yesterday, and was just told “It won’t open”. After a day of looking things over, I was THEN informed about the “compression” issue. It seems that I am now the one responsible for at the LEAST, saving the data and reinstalling the package.
This package keeps track of the audits of our PC’s (poorly, I might add)
