I am running Win 98SE and recently installed Jet 4.0 without a problem. However, when I try to install MDAC 2.8 (or earlier versions) I receive the following three messages during installation:
“Error registering the OCX c:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ADO\msado15.dll”
“Error registering the OCX c:\Program Files\Common Files\System\OLE DB\sqlxmlx.dll”
“Error registering the OCX c:\Program Files\Common Files\System\OLE DB\sqloledb.dll”
The complete installation is failing even though it responds a though it finished.
When I try to manually resgister the dll’s using regserv32 I receive a different error message “…LoadLibrary…”
