Error Report Log Location

I keep getting errors that read as follows:

Whatever.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.

An Error log is being created.

This runs the gamut from office products to adobe and others. First: Where is the error log located since I can’t seem to find them. And second, does anybody know offhand why this keeps happening and how I can prevent it (which hopefully will be evidenced by the logs if I ever find them)?

And uninstalling/reinstalling the software makes no difference.
