Error Signature in Windows XP

Hello i have dell inspiron 4100 with 2 pcmcia (1) for LAN and (1) 56k modem. Once i remove the 56k modem it generate an error and restart the computer. Error says:

Error Signature
BCCode: d1 BCP1:20202024 BCP:0000002 BCP3:00001
BCP4:F65F65F1 OSVer:%_1_2600 SP:0_0 Product:768_1


Any ideas?

You need to "Stop" the device prior to removing the modem. Unless there is a need to remove the modem (such as inserting another card) you should leave it in there as it should not effect the lan at all.

How do i stop the device? i already removed the software of the pcmcia modem.
