Error “This application has failed to start because the application conif”
I was trying to back up my files, uninstall programs, and delete some temp folder files. It seems like that I must have deleted some file accidently or some ‘uninstall’ program may have caused it but my computer has pretty much became non-functional.
– I am unable to run “any” exe – attempting to run exe displays this error:
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem”
-restarted computer – my explorer and start menu icons disappeared.
-restarted computer to “known good savepoint) – no help.
-restarted computer in safe mode – does not start in safe mode.
-able to start computer normally but no explorer bar or anything
in task bar.
– It automatically opens up a couple pop window with errors
1. Resources is a WIndows system folder and is required for Windows to run properly. It can not be deleted.
