Error uploading files on MS Live Meeting 2005

I have a user who receives the follownig message when attempting to upload a file (MS Word and/or Excel file): “The Universal File Support component for importing documents could not be installed. Please contact administrator or Microsoft Live Meeting Support.”
I found and followed the two workarounds on this MS Support article:

But the user is still experiencing the error message mentioned above.
Has anyone had this specific problem before?
The end user is on a Dell Latitude D620, running Windows XP Professional, SP2 and MS Office 2003. The user is also an administrator on the local machine.
