I use ie5 as my default browser, my default home page is msn.com. When I opened my browser a message "Attention: your browser should be upgraded to successfully view msn.com". When I click refresh it views msn.com normally, but I have to refresh it each time I start my browser. So I upgraded it to ie6 online. Same thing, I have to refresh it again to view msn.com normally. What will I do?

Try clearing your cache files, go to Tools, Internet options, General tab, and choose delete files in the Temperary Internet Files area. Hope this helps.
Hi I believe msn have don some alterations to their web site to allow microsoft browser operation only this is the run upto pay for web access to msn. I have seen complaints on forums to this effect you need to do some digging to find this out.
Guess i don't understand what is going on here. I can get to MSN just fine with either IE 5.5 or Netscape 4.78.
I suggest that you make sure that you have the install on your hdd, then remove the program from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, and remove following folder from the registry, reboot and start the re-install again:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> Software --> Microsoft --> Internet Explorer
Thanks for the suggestion, but I've already tried formatting my hard drive two times and clean installed Windows, clearing my cache, deleting temporary internet files and all offline contents. But same thing happens. Anyway, thanks for the help.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
