error was detected \Device\Harddisk1\DR

Can any one help me to fix this. I look in the event log. It give me this:

An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 during a paging operation.

It make my system to restart itself. Is there any way I can fix this.

You need to select disk, right click, tools, check disk. You'll have then to reboot, and let it test all its clusters.
Can be very long...

If your using DMA with an ATA66 hard disk you can correct this by:
Right click My Computer, click Manage, double click system tools,ten Device Manager. Double click IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller and the double click the approciate controller. On the Advanced Settings tab, click PIO Only in the Transfer Mode box. Reboot.

my system have the ATA100, all my hard drive is ATA100. Thank you but if you can tell me more that be great
