Esxi 4.1

Hi,

Is it advisable to install Esxi 4.1 on a server running a fresh copy of Windows Server 2008.

ESX has it's own kernel.

Therefore, as I understand it, the fresh install of Windows 2008 would be removed, wiped, crushed under the little penguin feet of the VMWare LINUX kernel.

Win2008 could be a Guest OS on top of ESX, but the 'host OS' of ESX is their own flavor of Linux.
