My company is running Novell Netware and Windows NT 4.0 in an Ethernet. I am aware of the 5-4-3 rule for Ethernets, but I’m wondering what the effect generally is for having more than 3 hubs with computers on them. Does this typically generate errors? Does this typically generate collisions? Will the system simply explode?
