Evaluation Period Expires

By dattwood ·
Although i did not use an exluation copy of the NT Server CD, i am now recieving an system log error :
The eval. period of this install of NT has expired. The system will shutdown in 1 hr. To restore access to the install please upgrade using a licensed distribution of this product.

Q173507 mentions the fact that i could have used eval. copies of the NT Startup diskettes, which i didn't.

Any ideas other than re-installing NT would be a great help.

Dave

Do an inplace upgrade from a legal full copy of NT.

Hi there.
I found an app. called UDeploy which "removes" the evail details once you insert a legal CD Key.
The only other way would be to upgrade from a legal CD which would have messed up all the applications and Service packs. A rebuild would beinevitable.

No it would not have if you did an inplace upgrade. Glad you found a way to do get it done though.
