I have an HP d530s that came with XP pre-installed. I joined my domain, and now after appying service packs, windows updates etc etc, I receive event error 1524 in the application log when the administrator logs off. When the admin trys to log on, it takes a really long time, and events 1058 and 1030 are then generated for the user and the system in the application event log. The 1058 points to the inability to download the gpt.ini for the domain policy for the user.
Running the GPUpdate provides success in downloading the policies, so I know they are working, additionally this error is only for my 5 new XP machines.
I have already tried TechNet articles 314494, the hotfix for 810907, and 326152. I have also tried a new NIC card instead of the one on board, this did not work either.
Please Help! or Has someone else had the same errors?
