Event error 1003

By sblaylock ·
We have a Compaq 1600 running TSE/Metaframe 1.8, sp5, NovellNT client 4.7. We continously recv error 1003 (terminal service client has provided an invalid license) in the event viewer, sometimes recv a BSOD 0xc000021a. We can't seem to pin down the cause of this error and how it might relate to the bsod. The system runs smoothly and preforms well, except for the once a week bsod. Thinking of installing sp6 for TSE, any thoughts??

I'm not to sure about the error 1003. for your BSOD though reload Terminal server SP5. This was a problem with sp4 and the winlogon.exe.

Good luck

You may receive a STOP 0xC000021a error message on a Terminal Server when you
run the Pviewer.exe Resource Kit tool, or when you run any performance tool that
attempts to gather "costly counters." Costly counters are a set of four data
items thatcan be retrieved (for example, thread details or process image names
that take extra processing to gather the data for).

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service packs
