Event ID 10 (printer notification)

By ldregely ·
I get this event ID 10 in my log and I would like to fix this problem.

Document 195, Microsoft Word - Stephen Zaucha.doc owned by STA02 was printed on HP5Si via port engpub205-174. Size in bytes: 6661; pages printed: 0

I don't want an event everytime someone prints. Please help me. Thanks

Ok, here is where I would start, open your User Manager for Domains, assuming you are at the PDC, who is watching the print jobs. Now got the Policies menu on the toolbar, and pick Audit... In here you can deselect the success audit tracking, and only track those items that fail.

Good Luck

If you go into the printer folder, under file goto Server Properties. On the advanced tab, you can check which kind of print events you want to log. However, I think that since it said 0 pages printed, this is actually a Warning. You may or may not want to turn off printer warnings...

Hope this helps,
