Event ID 1000

Howdy Folks:

Platform: Windows 2000 Server

Event below:

"Windows cannot unload your registry file. If you have a roaming profile, your settings are not replicated. Contact your administrator.
DETAIL - Access is denied. , Build number ((2195))."

I did disable the Remote Registry service on this box this morning. Could this have something to do with it?

Thanks for any info.

I didn't mean to be so short, but I had to run out the door. Hotfix Q32**70 has caused this problem in many PC's. The event ID 1000 that it causes doesn't always show up right after it is installed. I have removed it from all of my workstations and servers. When removing it it will tell you that a lot of stuff may be affected by the uninstall, but uninstalling it has not adversly affected any of my boxes. In every instance the event ID 1000 was cured. This hotfix came out months ago, and to myknowledge Microsoft has still not fixed this problem, (at least not publicly) It is a big problem for a lot of network admins who have to uninstall it manually after they pushed it out with SUS.
