The error message is like below.

The name "mydomain controller :1d" could not be registered on the Interface with IP address 192.168.249.56. The machine with the IP address 192.168.249.21 did not allow the name to be claimed by this machine.

Hi

Thanks for response. The solutions in the event id.net is not having a sufficient informations. In our environment we are not using wins and also i check for the duplicate name, restarted browser service, but the error is still repeating for every 35 minutes. The actual setup in our environment is like this,we have two DNS servers,in one of the server and other member servers are logging this error.we are not using DHCP in our environment.

This worked with mine. Thanks.

1. open up Network Connections
2. right click on Local Area Connection, click Properties
3. on the General Tab, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click Properties
4. click Advanced
5. click Wins tab
6. under NetBIOS setting, select Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP
7. click ok twice, and close
