I have an account that runs NT with approx 25 98 clients. The new server was just installed. It uses 3 SCSI HDs in a raid array. The scsi adapter is on the MB with an adaptec 1130 for the array. There is also an HP scsi tape on the other scsi bus onthe MB.There is a cdrom drive on the ide bus. It is the only thing on the ide bus.
From time to time the system locks up and I can hear the cd rom making noise like it is looking for a cd. I then get the event id 9 postyed in the event log. Does anyone have any ideas? I just replaced the CD to satisfy the customer but of course it was not the problem. Is there any where I can get more information on event numbers than I get from the system or the resource kit??
