Or if are there even any at all?

And if there are, what’s the ratio on Male:Female IT’s?

i don’t think you’ll many of the type you posted with that picture…but hey, one never knows…it’s just not my gig to use cd’s/dvd’d for anything other than what they are intended…

I never worry about how many women or men are in IT. I do my job with whomever I need to, no matter what their gender…or race…or anything else.

some have accused me of doing that with Discs
when actually I’m checking to see if they burned correctly

I toss any that have visible flaws in the burn caused by dust, etc.

The ratio may be higher at TR than in general.

More specifically, the number of regular to semi-regular (IT pro) commenters in the TR forum over the past several years seemed, to me, to include a higher ratio of women than seen in the IT work force.

Totally anecdotal synthesis of impressions on my part. But there are, and have been, quite a few damn fine professional IT women in the TR community.

(not including Jaqui 😀 )

Almost every date I go on with a new lady, she asks me my job, and then says it sounds boring and that she could never sit at a desk all day.
But i don’t sit at my desk all day, I have travelled much of Canada and I have plenty of Nerf gun wars, BBQ’s, etc.

owo I’ve always been exposed to male-only IT environments so I don’t really know that there are female ITs too.

owo It’s like a myth to me.

owo The sausage fest is getting to me, I need a change of work environment, I think having a female’s touch within the IT team will brighten things up more.
