Web Development

Question

Every time I upload a plugin, then the next time my site does not open.

By spencer1621515293 ·
Hi, would anybody know why my wordpress local site by flywheel, will not open after I have uploaded and used a plugin.
I just get a message. "This site can't be reached.
Its seems to do this the next time, I try open my site or admin panel, after using a plugin.
It is annoying, because then, I have to do a pc recovery, and then loose my website names every time, because I have to start over every time.

That's strange. There are no local sites by flywheel. A site is either local (but then it isn't a flywheel site) or on their server (but then it isn't a local site).

Unclear:
- what plugin you're talking about
- if it happens with all plugins or just with this one
- if it's after downloading the plugin or after using it the first time
- what exactly "a pc recovery" is
- what exactly "loose website names" is
- what exactly "start over" is

Let me suggest (again) you hire a developer to help you.

Everytime, I use a plugin, then the next day, when I try load the site it..

Everytime I use a plugin, then the next day, when I try start my site, I get "this site cant be reached.
I do not want to hire a developer, as I am not building a site to put online as yet.
I am trying to learn web development. That is why I ask questions on this forum.
Is that not allowed. I thought that was what forums were for.

Answers may be only as good as the questions.

Here I see where the answer is to outsource it since details are either missing or conflicting.

Everyone starts somewhere but here it appears you have jumped into the middle of where a web developer should be without all the prior work. That's OK, you can find great tutorials on the web now.

Also you see folk play an entitled card now and then. Such as "I expect answers" in free forums. That's why paying isn't a bad idea for some.

Unclear:
- what exactly is "starting a site"
- what program gives this syntactically incorrect message (it should be can't in stead of cant)
- where the site is located and how it's named (localhost?)
- what happens if you ping the site via URL or IP-address

https://www.troubleshootingcentral.com/how-to-fix-the-this-site-cant-be-reached-error-in-google-chrome/ makes me think you're using Chrome to connect to your site via its URL.

Surely forums are meant to ask questions. But questions alone is not enough.
In my 2 posts above I see 10 questions from me, of which you answered at most 1. And even with the other 9 questions answered it's unlikely the situation is clear enough to solve your problem.
