I have a machine which runs perfectly fine except that when Excel 2000 is opened it will use up all available windows resources (GUI etc.) resulting in the machine crashing, before excel has even finished opening.
No matter if opening a file, a blank file, another users file, or no file it always happens.
Re-installing office 2000 has made no difference.
Removing an adobe add-in file from XlsStart folder made no difference.
