Excel 2003 Split an address with multiple street names

By Battklestor ·
I have a street name say:
King Conrad Wilson Way.
If i use the left /right function I will get something like King in one column & Conrad Wilson Way in the other .
I imagine I would use a combination of FIND & MID functions to do this but am not quite sure how.
Help would certainly be appreciated.
Thanks

Excel 2003

There are many ways you can do this.

1. You can have all the words of the address split in multiple columns. Todo this you have to use in excel go to data->Text To column -> then use space as a seperator. Use Delimited.

2. You can also use the same menu and use fixed option to specify the number of characters you want to split.

Caution : The above approch of FIND & MID cannot be applied on the data which you hold as it will split the address in a fixed manner.

Hope I have helped you an inch...

Thanks,
Louis
