Excel 2007 -- Internal Hyperlink AutoUpdate

By oldoak ·

Currently, I am using Microsoft Excel with a small menu at the top of the window. This little menu simply points to various bookmarks (range names) I have setup for the spreadsheet I have created. This is what I want to do:

Create a macro that asks for the name of a new spreadsheet.

Automatically copy over the 'template' spreadsheet (blank, except for formatting, menu, etc) and rename it to whatever the input was.

Automatically update the little menu at the top of the spreadsheet to reflect the new name of the spreadsheet in internal links.

===This is what I know===
When you create named ranges in E2007, they show up in the Name Manager. When you copy a spreadsheet, the NameManager is smart enough to realize that the named ranges need to be renamed, so it does that. However INTERNAL 'place in document' links DO NOT update when a sheet is copied or renamed to a new name.

How can I accomplish this?
