Is it possible to attach (anchor) a text box to a cell comment note so the text box acts like part of the note?
It is easy to place the text box within the comment note. But, when the note is hidden, the text box remains on the spreadsheet rather than hidding along with (attaching) to the cell comment note.
Please email me if you need examples. Thanks!

If you are not opposed to using some simple VBA code, I think I have a solution for you. I've attached a demo below (demo sent by separate e-mail...)

When you open the worksheet, a dialog box will be displayed notifying you
that the worksheet contains macros - click on 'Enable Macros'. The
worksheet is then displayed, as well as a dialog box (a UserForm titled
"Select Currency...") displaying the question and two currency options. If
you a) change the currency selection, b) close the box by clicking on the
'X' (control box), or c) click on a cell *other* than A1, the dialog box
will close, and cell A2 will be selected. Click on A1 to re-display the
dialog box.

The user form contains a label for the question, and a list box containing
the currency options. After a selection is made, you can easily check the
value of the ListIndex property for the list box to determine the selection.
