I have a Windows NT machine that has Office 97 on it. The Employee who uses it has just now started having this problem with just this one specific file for excel. All the other files in excel work. When I start his pc and try to access it loggedin as him I get an access violation error with Excel.exe. Then it locks up his excel. But when I log in as adminstrator And try to open the file it works fine. So then I asked couple of other workers to try to access it and it worked fine for them. I am completely confused. I have checked just about everything I think. security settings and permissions and ownership. I even tried reinstalling excel just to see if that did something. I don’t know what else to do.
