Is there a way to make the formulas automatically
appear in a new row?

This may depend on your version.
Go to Tools>Options Edit tab
Put a check in Extend list formats and formulas.

"To be extended, formats and formulas must appear in at least three of the five last rows preceding the new row"

If this is not what you want, you can write a macro.

Doug,
Thanks for the response, it sounds like it is exactly what I need. However, I don't see that option with Excel 97.

You can also click on the ro(to hilight the whole thing) and right click->copy.
Higlight the row you want the same formulas and right click->paste special and choose formulas.
That should give you the same formulas for the other row.

I hope this is what you mean, if not, I didn't understand your question. :-)
