I have a client who uses Excel forms for doing quotes and then e-mails the quotes to clients. The Excel sheets are password protected. They also have protected and unprotected cells so the form is easy for the users to navigate in and fill out. Theforms have the grid lines and row and column headings shut off so the form looks more like a form and less like a spreadsheet. The problem is that in some instances (not all but enough of them) the column widths are not maintained after the quote has been e-mailed to a client. The column with the dollar amounts is coming up ###### even though the version at the office shows the column as being wide enough and the numbers display fine.
What’s going on and how do I account for it? I don’t have too much more room on the form to widen the column by a bunch and still keep it within the print specs for an 8×11 print.
Thanks,
H. Hamilton
