Excel illegal opperation

Windows 98, Office 2000, Excel caused a general protection fault in modual USER.EXE at ooob:ooooo108
When trying to start Excel.

check your xlstart directory under your pgram files / office installation directory and remove all files there it could be a faulty add-in

OR check teh foll link

i will look this up on the microsoft knowledgebase at support.microsoft.com...
just a reminder to check the basic stuff:
virus protection up to date and recent scan?
tried an Office Repair (Add/Remove Programs/Office/Repair)
office updates current?
windows updates current?
does it do this in safe mode?
plenty of free, defragged hard disk space?

ur OS is corrupted..

Fresh install new Win98se OS and install Office 2000 and updates the Office 2000 SP3 (Get it from microsoft downloads.)
