After doing a trim function on numbers or dates in Excel and pasting the values back into the cells, the number and dates appear as text. Reformatting the cells for dates or numbers do not work. The only thing that does work is turning each cell on (edit mode F2) then off, or copy paste into a word editor then back into Excel. This is OK for small amounts of data, but not for a large amount. Any suggestions as to fix this other than writing a macro that turns on each cell and moves to the next,etc?
