I have the situation where I have a data download worksheet and I use that to drive a set of pivot tables.
This data download will change each week and will be used in different factories.
The problem that I have is that when I am creating my template spreadsheet I am using some test data. I delete the contents of my data download worksheet and refresh the pivot tables. Whilst the tables look as if they contain no data when I drop down the data selections I can see all of my old data within the pivot table options.
Even though the previous downloaded data is not being presented within the pivot it is still remembered. After a few testing iterations my worksheet is getting too large to work with and send to people for use.
QUESTION
How can I stop my pivot tables remembering the previous data that was in my data download worksheet and only be aware of the data that is currently within the download worksheet ?
