Excel to outlook

Im trying to import data from excel 4 to outlook 2002 for a contact list there has to be a template we were supplied contact list and the data is raw can i use full name for example or do i have to make it title first middle last do i have to rename all fields and hand manipulate data help!!!!!!! any suggestions will be tried

One quick trick is to export your present Contact list. This will give you all of the fields that Outlook uses.
I find that the CSV format is a painless way to exchange the information.

Outlook has an import tool in the file menu. The fields will have to be mapped (matched from excel to outlook). If your data is not consistent with the Outlook fields, it can be a bit confusing but I can't really answer any questions about the data without knowing the specifics of the excel sheet. Hopefully you can match the fields with Outlook sometimes the data needs to be manipulated so that it works as desired.
