Excel 2000 on windows 98 PC connected to Windows 2000 server and mapped
network drive (S:\\Server_name\Data. There are some Excel 2000 files a user cannot save on the network. The user has created these files and before he can save them, someone else has to open and save the file from another machine running win98 or 2000. Then the user with the problem is able to save his own files on that machine. This is happening on two coputers actually and no one else has this problem. One is a Laptop and the other is a windows 98 machine. I have installed Office SP2 on these machines, but I cannot solve the problem. Please help me solve this predicament.
